The Raffles Hotel in Singapore is an icon and has been for a very long time. However time has had its grip on this beautiful collonial complex. To restore it in it former glory the Raffles Hotel has commenced on Phase 3 of a three-phase restoration programme on 13 December 2017. As a result the hotel is now fully closed with a planned reopening in the second half of 2018.

A century after its opening, the hotel was declared a National Monument by the Singapore Government and today, its colonial architecture is beautifully preserved, allowing it to stand out from the contemporary style of its surrounding neighbours in the business and civic district.
